Flu shot/COVID booster plans

Wondering about flu shots? Are you eligible for a COVID booster? Plans are being made now for combination flu/COVID booster clinics so you can get both at the same time. (As of 9/20 plans are still up in the air about who qualifies for a booster.) These community clinics will be held twice a month in the upcoming months and will offer the Pfizer vaccine. MLHS is partnering with the MDH to send reminder texts soon about boosters to patients who qualify, that were vaccinated by MLHS ̶ these texts are not spam and will not have a link to connect to (spam texts typically do that). Once our plan is completed, with dates and times, we will be sending letters to patients, as well as messages through the patient portal (showing as an email from MLHS) communicating the details. These immunizations will also continue to be offered as a nurse visit or at any other scheduled appointment as they have been. Remember, though, you must be eligible for a booster and these requirements are still being worked out on the federal level at this time.
