ACR accreditation for mammogram services

The ACR accreditation is a rigorous review process that ensures patients receive the highest standard of imaging services. Renewed every three years, this accreditation involves a detailed evaluation of four key areas: Personnel Qualifications, Equipment Quality, Image Quality, and Patient Protection. Each component is assessed to confirm adherence to the industry’s most stringent standards.

Receiving this accreditation means that patients can trust the quality and safety of our mammography services, including advanced 3D mammograms, which provide a more detailed view of breast tissue and improve the accuracy of cancer detection.

Early detection through mammograms is crucial in the fight against breast cancer. When caught in its initial stages, treatment options are often more effective, and survival rates are significantly higher.

At Mille Lacs Health System, our mammography services, including state-of-the-art 3D mammograms, have already helped diagnose breast cancer in six patients this year. Early diagnosis not only allows for a broader range of treatment options but also increases the likelihood of a positive outcome.
