The Minnesota Department of Health has identified the first case of COVID-19 in Mille Lacs County today, Ap 16. However, we at MLHS have had no positive test cases so far. Vicki Engmark from Infection Prevention reminds us that the case is listed where the person resides, and that is the "home" of the case, not where that person was tested. We have had no positive tests at MLHS thus far. MDH gives us notice and also exposure information we should take action on, and we have not been notified the case came from a patient tested at MLHS.
MLHS wants to remind readers that in any case of a positive test here, we would not be giving out that person's name or where they live.
