Mille Lacs Health System
Mille Lacs Health System will be holding diabetes education support groups with themed speakers in the communities of Onamia and Isle throughout the summer months. If you or your loved one is dealing with diabetes, or your medical provider has told you that you are have prediabetes, you are encouraged to attend these groups and hear the featured speaker. Feedback, the sharing of good ideas and resources, and problem-solving all work to guide efforts towards success.
MLHS’s new Diabetes Educator, Deanna Duret, is passionate about nutrition, dietetics, and helping patients with the support they need to lead healthy lives.
All Isle groups are held at the IREC. All Onamia groups are held on the MLHS Onamia campus, large conference room, in the Lower Level Suites. Use the Administration entrance.
On Thurs., July 26, in Onamia, the theme for the support group is “Changing Is Not Easy!” and the group will be held from 2:30-4:30.
On Tues., Aug. 7, the support group in Isle will present “Changing Is Not Easy!” at the IREC, from 3:30-4:30. In Onamia, on Thurs., Aug. 23, from 2:30-4:30, the subject will be “Weight Matters.”
