Suboxone Program at MLHS

Mille Lacs Health System

Mille Lacs Health System cares about opioid addiction. One of the new facets of treatment and care has begun recently. Suboxone is used to treat adults who are dependent on (addicted to) opioids (either prescription or illegal).

Suboxone, along with therapy to work through a patient’s issues, is part of an effective combination of tools to help the person become drug-free.

Suboxone doesn’t solve everything instantly. It does take away the sickness from withdrawal as well as the craving for more opiates, giving patients an opportunity to start to rebuild their life.

Program Coordinator Sue Woitalla, R.N., underscores the program’s ability to help, using an individualized care plan tailored to each person. “We treat everyone, without stigma. We are here to support the person on their path to recovery.”
