Mille Lacs Health System is proud to announce a new member of its caring team of providers. Dr. Lynne Steiner, from Anoka, will be joining the MLHS family in July.
Dr. Steiner has 23 years of clinical practice in the northern Metro area. She was drawn to the Mille Lacs community because it reminded her of her first practice. “The countryside is gorgeous,” Steiner says.
Familiar with colleagues Drs. Patti Hook and Arden Virnig (both of whom she says she greatly admires), Steiner says she heard about the need for a family physician at MLHS through the two doctors. “I am attracted to the challenging practice opportunities,” Steiner says. “I look forward to deploying a greater range of my training and experience.” She also likes the Catholic historical background and history of the Mille Lacs Health System.
Dr. Steiner says practicing medicine is fascinating, because of “the resilience of people, human biology, and healing from illness. It’s generally amazing.” She loves challenging and unusual cases, and has a special interest in Dermatology.
But mostly, with her years of experience, she says she is inspired by the relationships with families that are built over time as lives unfold and life stories are shared.
Dr. Lynne Steiner is eager to continue her medical career at MLHS. “I strive to provide caring, high value, competent care,” she says. “Medicine was, and still is, a good match for my skills and stewardship goals.”
