Bill Nelson, CEO of Mille Lacs Health System, has been chosen to join the Women’s Choice Award Healthcare Advisory Board, comprised of executive-level healthcare professionals with a strong expertise in healthcare issues and patient experience. WomenCertified Inc., home to the Women’s Choice Award, announced the formation of the Advisory Board, which will help fuel and advance its mission to elevate standards of patient care for women and their families by empowering them to make smart healthcare choices. Board members will provide insight, findings, expertise and thought leadership on the trends and challenges facing today’s consumers when choosing hospitals and healthcare providers, and provide solutions aimed at helping women who are responsible for 90% of family healthcare decisions.

“The creation of the Women’s Choice Award Healthcare Advisory Board is essential to our future success because empowering women to make smart healthcare choices is most effective when executed locally through our hospital partners,” said Delia Passi, founder and CEO of WomenCertified Inc. “These leaders are at the helm of the most successful hospitals in America, living our mission each day to provide outstanding patient experiences. Their success and guidance will support our goal to raise the standards of care for consumers through awareness and education.”

Kim Kucera, COO of MLHS, said that Nelson is an excellent choice. “He will represent rural, critical access facilities such as ours, which are so vitally important to communities served throughout America. We’re very proud that our CEO will be sitting on this Advisory Board.”
