Outpatient Therapy at Mille Lacs Health System is a separate unit at the hospital specifically designated for those patients needing therapies that do not require hospitalization, but are essential to care ̶ either temporarily or on an ongoing basis.
Therapies which are offered include:
- IV therapies (chemo, antibiotics, biotherapies, etc.)
- Catheter change
- Central line care
- Wound care
- Electrolyte replacement
- Therapeutic Phlebotomies
- PICC lines and ports
- Blood transfusions
The Outpatient nurse and staff can help with paperwork and communication with your healthcare providers.
Separate entrance is at the front of the campus, west side. The Outpatient space is bright, airy, and quiet, with several private bays and one enclosed room. Nurses can closely monitor patients during treatments. Also, state-of-the-art computers at the chair side are available for patients to check email, watch TV, or go on the Internet. A kitchenette provides light snacks and hydration.
