Answers to the frequently asked questions:
• Will Mille Lacs Health System bill my insurance?
Yes, as long as we have your correct current insurance information. Without this information, you will be billed. Please bring your current insurance identification card to all appointments. You may also update your current insurance information by contacting the Business Office.
• If I have more than one insurance plan, will you bill them both?
Yes, we will bill both plans, provided we have all the required information for both plans, including each subscriber’s name and date of birth so we can coordinate benefits correctly. The subscriber’s plan will be primary for him or herself, with the other plan as secondary.
• When will I receive a bill?
You will receive a bill after we have filed the claim with your insurance(s) and they have processed it. The length of time this takes can vary.
• Why did I receive a bill from another provider for my visit at Mille Lacs Health System?
We contract with outside providers to bring you certain services, such as radiology, some lab work, surgical services, and visits with specialists. As a result, you may receive a bill for their services from their office. If you have questions on these charges, please call the phone number listed on their statement.
• What are my payment options?
Payments can be made by check, money order or credit card, by mail, or in person at any one of our clinics.
